I woke up in a strange mood, which persisted. I do think the world of work we inhabit these days in which spend our days largely in physical isolation operating entirely through a screen, is a recipe for despondency for some. For me this certainly feels true regardless of the subject matter.

This will hopefully change once I get to Tanzania and can ‘interface’ with members of the team both in the project sites and the main country office. I’m very much looking forward to settling in there and getting out of permanent transition mode.

I bought this funny little twist on a stress ball when I was in South Africa, and both its function and its expression are apt for the day.
