Heron

on the footbridge across the Little Colorado on the river walk. Part of the sprawling Becker Lake wildlife area. I have met strangers to the area walking by the river asking how far to the lake, can't walk there from here . . . half a mile west along US60.

       This heron (the one) flew over and when we got to the bridge there she was waiting but wary of Kiki be fore flying down to her favourite fishing spot just up river of the bridge. Later I saw a bald eagle (extra)
