Future flowers

M attended the IBMS (Institute of Biomedical Science) congress  in Birmingham today. We were both  up early as I  gave him a lift to the station. Then I got stuck in to a long morning  of  (overdue ) house work. However, my reward was a few hours in the garden  where I potted up my Achimenes tubers. You have to imagine  these pots full of red and purple  flowers in a few months'  time !  I also sowed some  wildflower seeds,  and  spotted a Brimstone butterfly (too quick to photograph). It definitely felt spring like out there.
