Positive News

Covid Day 1

Thanks all for supportive comments and best wishes yesterday - it is much appreciated.

I spent the night in the spare room and woke with a sore throat and slight sniffle. I tested myself first thing (which involved throat swabs as we are back to the old style LFT - even less pleasant when throat is sore ) and yup, you guessed it, I too now am positive.

In some ways it was inevitable as we had hardly been out of each other's company during our trip away and at least having at the same time makes house logistics easier.

Cases have trebled over the past week in the town with more to come as the lag works it way through the report.

Symptoms are mild-ish - in addition to sore through, tiredness and a slight fuzziness (not dissimilar to reaction to first jag). Activities today have been confined to easy needle felting and light reading between naps.  Paracetamol is helping.

I will catch up with Journals in due course as we make our way through Splendid Isolation .

The *really* positive news today is of course the news that Nazanin Zaghari-Ratcliffe and Anoosheh Ashoori are on their way back home to the UK.
