Bracing

We were going to walk over to the Marina del Este for lunch, but once more we were thwarted. It was so windy it just would not have been pleasant. So we drove there instead. I had reserved at Salazón, expecting it to be busy, but there was almost no-one about. Sadly we couldn't sit outside, but we had a lovely meal, Special mention to the goat's cheese and mango stack with a caramelized top, served with a sauce of forest fruits. Quite similar to this, although the overall effect was very much sweet rather than savoury.

Quiet evening at home now. I'm reading a friend's self-published book about her life in the Basque Pyrenees. It's a great read, and it's extra special to be finding out more about people and places that I know. I hope she finds a publisher for it.
