⁹Bullers of Buchan

A collapsed sea cave has left this big hole with a sea arch (extra is the view from the other end). The tiny little village of the same name is perched up top with the old fishermen having a steep walk down into the cove beneath.

This was my best and worst bit of the day. Best, because of the dramatic scenery and the start of the bird invasion for nesting sites (flotillas of Razorbills just under the cliffs); worst, as I am so very frustrated by my gammy leg and would've loved a good blowy walk along the cliffs with LH.

We just followed the coast road on down past Peterhead, dropping off for a safer stroll for Berry at a country park in the dunes. It was near Mr Trump's golf development and we were amused to see how very prominent the offshore wind turbines that he so objected to were. Sorry, we are not fans of That Man.

Around Aberdeen and now at a site at Stonehaven. We are definitely learning about motorhome life through a series of problems this van has thrown up. The on board system is registering the water levels wrongly due to faulty sensors (we were forewarned!) but being new kids on the block we ran the tank dry today. After filling back up to the brim, it seems we got an airlock and still no water so our lovely contact at the hire company suggested we drive around the site to jiggle things a bit ... a miracle!! She must be fed up with us contacting her but we've had a succession of error messages all apparently related to this water tank issue but slightly alarming all the same. Anyway, we now are pretty expert about dealing with boiling hot tap water and the heating system turning itself off! And I must say, the contact lady has been delightful and super helpful, even though we could hear cattle lowing the background yesterday, and the clip-clop of hooves as she led her horse into its stable today. Nothing but cheerful service.

Like the numberplate on the motorhome parked close by (another extra).
