Wet wet wet

I know we shouldn't complain -- the rain is very necessary after a year-long drought. But still, it could have chosen some other time. We don't have much time left for beach days!

It was actually a nice sunny morning when we went to Spanish class. Poor Fifi, who was fine last week, has had yet another Long Covid relapse, so we had yet another different teacher, our fourth. It's a bit frustrating as she had to spend time working out what level we are at (higher than she thought). Afterwards we went for our usual coffee with Michel, sitting out in the sunshine. And before lunch S even sunbathed on the terrace.

Lunch was easy: leftovers from yesterday. Fried hake with romesco sauce and new potatoes, and (look away now if you're on a diet) pain perdu with apples, caramel sauce, and vanilla ice cream.

Edit: funny, this day last year we were also finding a good way to use stale bread.

And then it was an indoor sort of day ... fire lit early with the last of the wood, and now it's apero time.
