A bird in the hand is worth two in the castle

I went for a vilage walk this morning and heard my first chiffchaff of the year and saw my first brimstone butterfly and wood anemones so spring is really springing.  I liked these two pigeonshaving a quiet moment on one of the castle tower windows.

it's been a lovely sunny day and I've spent all day working in the garden so lots of jobs done.
