Seeds

I spent a bit of time in the garden this afternoon, trimming trees and bushes.

My blip is of the developing seed head on a tree (I don't what the tree is - can anyone help?); these develop into fluffy balls which drop onto the lawn or blow about in the breeze and make quite a mess.  Because this tree was rotting, it was cut down a couple of years ago, but it has refused to die. I have cut off the new growth before it dumps the seeds everywhere.

I realised late on that I hadn't left myself much time to prepare a blip before heading out to judge a competition at a slightly more distant camera club, so this is a bit of a rushed focus stack.  It needed more care to make sure everything was truly in focus.
