Flower Friday @ No 358

Today it is like summer again.  I shouldn't complain I will miss the heat soon enough.  I thought this house will have an interesting history but when I Googled I couldn't find a thing about it.  At the beginning of this long road is an Edwardian villa so maybe this is also that old.  I pass this way when driving up towards my house.  The Richmond hills are behind it and it would have a fabulous view across the Waimea Plain towards the Western Ranges. I imagine that once upon a time the road wasn't here and it stood grandly above a farm property.
On a personal note standards are slipping.  I went into the supermarket in active wear after having been to a class called 'Supple @ 65' which is a combination of tai-chi style warm up, upper body flexibility, power poses, balance stances, lower body mobility and seated meditation.  I think I need a lie down or a large gin or maybe both.  Happy weekend to all.

The White Rose Of Athens                 Nana Mouskouri

Til the white rose blooms again
You must leave me, leave me lonely
So goodbye my love 'til then
'Til the white rose blooms again

The summer days are ending in the valley
And soon the time will come when we must be apart
But like the rose that comes back with the spring time
You will return to me when spring time comes around  . . .
