Long Day, Long Beach

It seems I managed the paperwork correctly, so I made it on the flight and am now safely ensconced in my hotel in Long Beach (LA, California).  The sunset across the Port of Los Angeles was spectacular when I finally got to my hotel room.

The worst bit of the trip was definitely Heathrow - a 1 1/2 hour queue for check in, in the "express lane" for people using the VeriFly app.  I hate to think how long it would have taken if I wasn't using the app...  Other than that the trip was uneventful.  The US border wasn't nearly as long a wait as I feared based on past experiences at LAX.
