Mama goose on the nest

This Canada goose was sitting on a raised nest in McKenzie Marsh in Aurora. It's mate was in the water nearby keeping watch. Linda and I stopped by there today to see how the marsh was doing and see if we could find ourselves some photo subjects. Linda comes here a lot with great success. The ponds have thawed out and a dozen or so geese were pairing up, feeding, swimming, etc. at this particular pond. Not much else. No turtles yet. No cormorants. No ducks. It's early yet.
