Dappled Chaffinch

It is the same every year toward the end of March. You think its all over bar the shouting, then the chaffinches go  at it as a gang. Or so it is around here any how. Could be the sea air.!
In all ten chaffs both  male and female were taking it in turns to fly down  to our feeders (which always make me giggle as they are naturally land feeding birds). Blooming cats!
The  male chaff using the feeder as a bargaining chip, to bag the girls. The girls themselves, not that bothered really. Something to do on a sunny day and of course under dappled shade, pose for the camera.
