Now, as I see it......

Completely off the rails

A new arrival at the railway.  This engine, No 41241, is on loan from the Keighley and Worth Valley Railway for a couple of weeks to attend the steam gala next weekend.  I'm not greatly fond of the colour but it has some historical accuracy; when it was first bought from British Rail in 1968, heritage railways were not allowed to paint their locos in BR liveries so the K&WVR developed their own livery, based loosely on the old LMS railway livery.  The engine has recently been repainted back in these colours to celebrate 50 years of the K&WVR.

I was too early to see it being unloaded but saw some photos on Facebook later in the day.  I'm hoping to see it (and blip it) in steam next weekend.
