Five days late

The autumn equinox was around 4 am on Monday 21 March this year. A major storm hit the Auckland region some hours before that and continued for the rest of the morning.

It was that storm that blew water up under the eaves and caused a smallish area of the ceiling to collapse in the beach house. The water that then fell onto the floor, soaked through the towels we had placed on plastic sheets in case of such an event, and many of the bamboo floor boards have water damage.

Today's blip is a photo (taken from beside the cordial and soda water table near the point) of the sky this morning shortly after I awoke. Had it been five days before, I would have aimed for a sunrise, rather than the twilit sky shown here. However, I made a pot of coffee, and got my muesli, berries and yoghurt and paid mind to the Guardian cryptic instead.
