SILLY SATURDAY - A NON-ADVENTURE! :-(

Hello Lovely Blippers,

We couldn’t believe it when we heard Mrs. HCB getting up at 5.45 - yes, 5.45 - she never sees that time of day, so we wondered what was on the cards for today and of course, it is so silly to be up at that time and even Admirer would have laughed!

We didn’t have to wait for too long as she was in the bathroom, washed and had brushed her teeth, before quickly getting dressed.  Then we remembered that she had told Mr. HCB last night that she would be going shopping at Tesco early this morning to beat the crowds.

We all decided we would like to go with her, so we quickly lined up by the back door - however, Mrs. HCB was adamant that she couldn’t take 12 of us shopping - apart from anything else, there wouldn’t be any room left in the trolley!

We thought it would be a good idea if we jumped up on the front of the car so that she could take a photograph of us before she went, which is what we did.  You might think some of us look a little bleary-eyed, but then it was just after 6 o’clock in the morning and I daresay even you might look a bit like that;  I couldn’t even get my glasses on straight!

Mr. HCB was still asleep, so after Mrs. HCB put us all back in the bag, and had driven off, we decided to have a quick snooze before she got back.  She told Mr. HCB she was only going for a couple of things - ha ha ha ha - do you know any woman who just goes for a couple of things and actually comes back with just two!  No, we don’t either!

When she got back at 7.15, Mr. HCB was up and waiting to help her put the shopping away, so it soon got done.Their son, Martyn, is coming round for lunch later, so she had lots of goodies - he went on a pudding-making course earlier in the week, so he will be bringing the pudding - but we don’t know what it will be yet.  Whatever it is, we are sure it will be delicious and we are all looking forward to seeing him!

So here we are - and it’s only just after 8 o’clock - it’s going to be a long day, we think, but the sun is shining, so perhaps we will go out into the garden and play for a while.  We have had a little chat and decided that next time we aren’t going to ask Mrs. HCB, but are just going to jump into the boot and then we will be there ready!

Hope you all stay safe and have a great weekend.

Love to you all from
The Silly Saturday Gang xxx
