Careful Lennie!*

We got back from swapping Thomas for James at Northumberlandia just in time to see Jenny moving the Zwartble ewe and lamb from the field. Obviously Nathaniel and James had to have a go at holding the lamb, just as they did maybe 3 years ago. I reminded them their great-great grandfather had a farm and my mother helped him with the sheep.

Thomas and Nathaniel played out this morning, making a bridge over a ditch, finding trees to climb etc but Thomas was keen to come in to play Monopoly so Nathaniel humoured him for a while.

We drove to meet #2 daughter at Northumberlandia for the change-over of boys. Thomas was going to a friend’s party sleepover. They had a good runabout on Northumberlandia but spent more time playing in a pile of dirt beside the car park.

After helping neighbour Jenny get the lamb and ewe into the trailer they are still playing out. Both have great imaginations so it’s pretend games in the wood outside the top garden till I call them in for a shower before pizza and a film. (Shower first as they are really filthy!)
