Mixing up the Seasons!

Christmas Cake and Stollen with Spring flowers and sunshine, the day before we change the clocks to Summer time!

Cuppa and cake in the garden with a neighbour this morning. The Christmas Cake had been saved especially for her; sunny but cool in the brisk wind. The neighbour is bit of a wildlife fanatic so she enjoyed all the action in the garden: three different types of butterflies, a Red Tailed Bumblebee, and, most exciting of all, a Sparrowhawk who descended on our resident Sparrow flock, caught a bird, but was then pounced on itself by Six Dinner Sid, thereby releasing the Sparrow! It all happens here! (You’ll be pleased to hear there were no fatalities.)

Warmer this afternoon, 17 degrees, so made the most of the sunshine and spent the afternoon weeding and tidying the flower beds. I shall ache tomorrow!

Take care, stay safe and well...
