Cloudscaping

Rain lasted all day, but I trusted the forecast that there would be a bit of light towards the end of the day. It was brief before the clouds rolled in again. I went out prepared with a ND filter on, why - not sure, it soon came off.

Anyway, a chance to play around with masks in lightroom to enhance the detail of the clouds. By intersecting a sky selection with a luminosity mask I was able to darken the dark areas and lighten the light areas of the clouds, thereby giving more indication of their volume. I wasn't quite as comfortable with it as a similar method in the prior version using brushes. Next time, I'll try that.
