Bunny Bed!

Granddaughter L brought with her yesterday two little fluffy bunnies which can be attached to backpacks or belts and which are currently all the rage in her class at school. She wanted to know if Granny could make a bed for them. She then went off out with her Dad for a couple of hours.

Granny likes to do her best to oblige, so she had a rummage round in all the places where she keeps things that might come in useful one day. So, she duly sourced a round wicker basket (from the loft room), some scraps of fabric that she had quilted many moons ago, an old lace table mat, some elastic and some wadding, and assembled them in her craft room.

Together they ended up looking like this … the bedspread is fastened underneath with elastic, and the pillow is stitched to the basket, to keep them in place.

On her return, L pronounced the bed perfect, and I am pleased to report that the bunnies had a good night’s sleep last night. (See extras.)
