I made a wire heart sculpture for Mother’s Day. There are no fresh flowers permitted in hospitals, so I thought this was a pretty alternative. My sister had bought her chocolates which Mum was enjoying!
It’s a lovely sunny day so we took mum out in a wheelchair to enjoy the sunshine. That went well .Afterwards Mum seemed confused and distressed which was upsetting. Repeating the same things over and over again.
We eventually got her more comfortable and one of the kind nurses brought Mum a coffee and a pot of puréed fruit.
I helped mum to phone one of her best friends Beryl from university. Beryl was happy to catch up on the news.
We got lots of washing done and dried outside . Very satisfying.
