Open again

It being Mothering Sunday and Cailean being at home to look after the dogs when we were away at the wedding last night, we managed to meet up at Inver (him going, us coming) where he bought his mum (and I) a particularly special lunch.

Inver has just re-opened after the winter break and it has , if anything, become even more eclectic, inventive and remarkable.   This is Cathleen's monkfish with seaweed.   I had something that Pam had called "Pocket Hankerchiefs which had celeriac, pears, lanark blue and the thinest of pasta sheets .   It was all superb including the backed potato ice cream at the conclusion.  Seaweed and potatoes seemed to the themes in fact today and no body could have done more or better with them.

My extra photo is a wide shot of Inver with new Castle Lachlan in the background , and showing that again today the weather was near perfect.  It will break down a bit this week apparently, though.
