More sunshine and a sunset

It’s been another lovely day of blue sky, sunshine and warm temperatures. We walked this morning with our Tuesday morning walking group, I went to my Pilates class after lunch then walked home afterwards.  I need to keep up the walking in preparation for our big walk in a couple of weeks.

The sunset was spectacular this evening in the way it lit up the clouds, so I decided it deserved a blip. And for those who like seeing blue sky and sunshine, the extra is a blip taken at Kohimarama Beach this afternoon after my Pilates class.

There are 17,148 new community cases today, which is not unexpected for a Tuesday, given that testing numbers rise after the weekend.  The number of  people in hospital  has dropped slightly to 842, with 26 in intensive care. The pandemic death toll has risen by 34 and now totals 303. The new deaths are not all from overnight, but from across the past 10 days. Delays in reporting deaths can be due to people dying with, not of, Covid-19 and the infection not being discovered until after their death. The seven-day rolling average has risen to 15.
