Siddick Ponds.

This a view of one of two ponds called Siddick Ponds a local nature reserve and SSSI.  There part of the river Derwent Delta 10,000 years ago and are part natural and part man-made.  When industry and railways expanded the scene changed.  The building of a railway embankment caused the ponds to be made.  The railway lines have long gone and they are now cycle paths.  There is an out of town shopping area and industry near-by, plus wind turbines.  The smoke is from a factory making cardboard packaging.  A good walk in the sun with a friend.  According to the weather forecast there wasn't going to be sun!  I have been a sunflower for too long, so you'll see Kentboy standing near the ruins of a Roman fort with the Lakeland hills in the background.
