Uneasy Truce

The Starlings (Sturnus vulgaris) have returned in force, and these two angry birds were fighting for a turn to get some food at the bird feeder. They stopped here to rest before starting another squabble, and I was able to get this image. I managed to capture some of the purple and green iridescence in their feathers. They are an invasive species here in the United States, and they are often considered to be a nuisance because of their abundance, noise, and aggressiveness.
