Amelanchier

We haven't managed to get out for a walk for a few days, and were hoping to do so today. However, there was such a bitingly chill wind blowing that we decided against it. My husband feels the cold badly, and just wasn't up to braving the weather today, so we caught up on some indoor jobs instead. 

I popped my padded coat on to take this photo of the amalanchier trees in our back garden which are in full bloom. They look so lovely when there's some blue sky to set them off, but I had to wait quite a while for the wind to die down enough for me to take the photo! Next to them is a hawthorn tree which is just coming into leaf.
