Apples and Oranges

By Anitsirk

Woke up to a frosty morning that later got an addition of snow. When the sun came out, most of it melted away so it was possible to wear sneakers outside. But, in shaded places, like on the grass outside my windows and in the forest, there’s still snow. On my way home from the store I almost stepped on a caterpillar. It was on the cold asphalt so I tried to move it to a warmer place. When it curled up, it was easier to get it on a piece of leaf and put it in a warmer sunny spot. And I covered it with a dry leaf. It already started to move when I placed the
leaf over it, relieved I guess, that it wasn’t becoming dinner. :)
