Maunsel Higher Lock

We were at the hospital in Taunton early this morning for Tess’s follow-up appointment to check how her broken humerus was faring. The good news is that it has healed well and it is now just a case of a course of physiotherapy to help her get as much movement back in it as possible.

We celebrated with a breakfast of eggs benedict in the garden centre at Monkton Elm, where we also bought some more perennials, followed by a walk on the Bridgwater and Taunton canal.

In the hospital waiting room there were some mono photos of typical Somerset scenes, given a slightly vintage treatment, and there were some similar ones, enlarged as murals, in the cafe so I thought I’d try something similar while we were walking on the canal. The original is in extras.
