Sunset over the Potomac, Georgetown waterfront

Early start at the conference centre - 8am to 5pm today. The exhibition was really quiet until about 10.30am. The time really drags when there are no visitors.

Enjoyed talking to potential authors and other visitors about our journal and other products. Will be interesting to see if our work results in any new submissions from cancer researchers.

Got the shuttle bus back to the hotel as it was so hot outside and I had very tired feet. Decided to walk to the Georgetown waterfront as recommended by our US-based sales guys who were working with us today. Lovely walk along the busy waterfront as the sun set. Lots of official low-flying helicopters bringing people into the city. The restaurants and green areas were very busy with families enjoying the really warm evening. Disturbed the heron that you can see in this photo as I walked past.

Enjoyed a solitary pizza before walking back to the hotel and packing ready for another early start and then directly back to the airport for the journey home.
