A productive day. R came in by at lunchtime to help me with some online ‘paperwork’. Job well done. 

Another telephone call from the hospital, the same lady as yesterday!! A rather apologetic tone of voice saying that she has spoken to the consultant and my appointment has not to be cancelled. I have a feeling of satisfaction, it pays to be polite and persistent!!!
