Raindrops on Anemones

I managed to just miss the Garganey at Etton-Maxey NR today, but enjoyed seeing Snipe, Redshank and Lapwings (among others) feeding on areas of mud revealed by the declining water levels. Luckily I was in the hide when the rain/snow/hail shower steamed through (see it arriving in the extra) and had the chance for a good chat with RA, who had just returned from a trip to Poland with medical supplies for the Ukraine.

On my way home I stopped at the wood on Heath Road, where the Wood Anemones were looking perfect, sprinkled with raindrops from the recent shower, all sparkling in the sunshine.
