Another lovely day. We started with a wander around the Sunday market at Holt which was bigger than we expected and full of interesting stalls. T had some ice cream and Heston got his own doggy version which he loved, and we ended by getting some coffee and buns from the bakery to have in the car on the way to Holkham beach. Oh my goodness it was huge! Probably the biggest beach I’ve ever been on. Full of small razor clam shells to crunch as we walked, and once again Heston loved chasing a ball and racing around us. Although there had been lots of cars in the car park the beach itself felt empty as it was so huge everyone could spread out.
We had a good 4 mile walk then back to drive for lobster rolls at Brancaster astatine’s. Very disappointed to find they’d run out of rolls so we had to make do with a pot of cockles and some dressed crab for later. We hadn’t planned anywhere for dinner so stopped at a farm shop and bought a slab of belly pork and some veg to roast and went home for T to cook. We were all a bit snoozy but after dinner managed a game of Uno before bed. Very relaxing and lovely day
