Wet

We had a lovely evening with David and went to a local Italian restaurant which was one of the few places either not closed or fully booked. It was very good.
I still couldn’t eat or drink very much but pleased to say, I’m much better today. We said good bye to David this morning as he went off to Whitby to take part in  a photography workshop, and we reviewed our situation as the weather  was awful and we didn’t fancy cycling.
We took the bus to Buxton which is even higher than we are here in Hayfield, and very cold wet and windy. It’s a lovely place. The highest market town in England or some such claim to fame.
There are thermal springs and wells there with mystic healing powers (or something) . The Romans made baths here but the locals knew all about them before that.
We bought warm waterproof trousers at a good outdoor store and I might not take them off all week!
If we can stand the cold and wet until Thursday, we have a meal booked at a Michelin starred restaurant here in Hayfield which was one of the attractions of coming here. If not we might cut and run before then!
Extra is LooseCanon and Rockarea ( David) this morning. I cropped myself out of the selfie because I looked weird.
The photo was taken from the bus stop in Hayfield. I like the stand of trees on the hillside and am hoping to get a better shot of them at some point.
