Derelict Farm Cottages

Yesterday I spotted a single cowslip flower - in a place I have never seen them before, but I decided it wasn’t really blip worthy. So today I walked out to Bramham Crossroads where I know there are usually loads of cowslips on the verges….and although there were a few appearing they were not really open yet and were blowing about too much in the wind - so instead of cowslips you have these old derelict cottages - part of Crossroads Farm. The site is owned by Leeds University but the Grade 2 listed buildings have been quietly falling down for many years…. presumably they will eventually collapse completely at which point the land will be more valuable to sell on to a developer :-(

Difficult conditions for photographing with the bright sun leaving the front of the buildings in shadow and also some very bright clouds - so this a blend of a couple of exposures!

One for Derelict Sunday - thanks to Marlieske again for hosting
