Aida

We had a forecast of gales and rain and the hatches were duly battened down, but luckily nothing much materialised, and it only lasted overnight. There was some rain in the early morning, but then the sun came out and it was glorious. It makes a husband's mind turn to thoughts of the sea, and as the end of the bathroom renovation is in sight, plans are now afoot to get Aida back into the water!

Had to nip down to the shop this afternoon as we had a delegation of European Tour Managers visiting. They are on a three day get to know Orkney trip and after seeing the website they asked if we would open on a Sunday so they could sneak a peek! We plied them with cheese and oatcakes, Highland Park whisky and Orkney fudge and they seemed to go away very happy!
