Hanging Out To Dry

There's a viewing spot over the Obi Obi River in town and today there were ducks, a Sacred Kingfisher and this Little Pied Cormorant sharing a fallen tree as a perch mid-stream.

Though I got a shot of all these together, this close up of the Cormorant hanging its wings out to dry won the day; apparently, they do a lot of wing stretching and flapping, because (unlike most birds) their wing feathers are not waterproof.
