Living my dream

By Mima

The flies have it!

Many native NZ flowers depend upon flies for pollination, thanks to a relative paucity of other insects.

One such tree is the lacebark, Hoheria sexstylosa or Houhere whose white flowers smother my small tree at the moment. It's lovely to have something in full bloom in autumn.

More wood split. More apple slices dehydrated. A vegetable flan created. A dog walked.

A good day.

Thanks for your comments yesterday. It is reassuring to know that there are many of you feeling as frustrated as me. Never fear I shall bang on about it from time to time...!
