End of an era

After just over 11 years, Small Strings, our small business, is no more.
At the end of 2019 things were looking very promising. But the effects of the pandemic and the idiocy of Brexit hit hard, and by the end of last year we realised that it was no longer financially viable to keep it going, and made the decision to cease trading at the end of the financial year. This is all that's left of the website. Just the last set of accounts to do, and they can wait until after Easter.

Sad in many ways, though I won't miss the bookkeeping and accounting! Must mean that I'm officially 'retired'!

So, after 2 days of doing very little other than tie up loose ends, today was spent catching up with other things. Sanded down the wood filler in the hall, did two loads of washing and several other household chores, went for a hair cut, and finally got round to emailing our MP about Ukrainian refugees. It's unlikely to do any good and she won't reply - she never does - but maybe if enough people contact her she'll realise the strength of public opinion...
