Long Tailed Tit #42

We had to scrape ice off the car when we left the house at 8.45am. Needless to say, it was still very cold, but by the time we arrived at Brockholes the sun was shining and it was even warm enough for a couple of orange tips and small tortoiseshells to appear. We had a great walk around the reserve seeing 44 species, but nothing new for this years list. 
We sat outside the visitor centre to eat our butties, watch the bride arrive for her wedding and then on the way home did the weekly shop.
