Flower Montage

It was a pleasure photographing in the plant room of the garden centre this morning as there were many more plants with reasonable size stalks which made so much easier to isolate individual blooms. It also helped that instead of using a macro lens I was using a very long telephoto lens (600mm) which gave the shots a small depth of field though it did mean I had to retreat to about a couple of metres back from the blooms I was focussing on. My montage is mainly consisting of Dicentra spectabilis or 'bleeding heart" blooms but the top left shot is of an aquilegia.
