Pass of Drumochter

Today's the day ........................ to drive home

We said farewell to Steve and Jane in Beauly and spent the day driving south through the length of Scotland to Dumfries and Galloway.

Temperatures were hovering around freezing in the far north - and, although there was no trouble at all with the roads, there were spectacular views over the snowy landscape on either side.  This was how it looked as we went over the Drumochter Pass, the highest point on the A9 at 460m (1508ft).

All went well on the journey and we are now safely installed back home.  It has been a wonderful 10 days of holidaying in places that we love - and in spending time with good friends.........................
