TROPHY CITY

The Champ Cars (the old Chump Car series) are at Road America this weekend. They have some of the best trophies ever out there for racers. Nothing store bought...each piece hand made from old parts of some kind, welded together and polished. Really nice stuff.  I'm thinking these trophies will appeal to rustycrapp.

Very few rules to these races as I understand them. Cars may not exceed an average Internet value of $500 exclusive of safety equipment; all races last 8 hours, whomever makes the most successful laps in 8 hours wins; if it looks like any needed repairs will take more than 20 minutes the car must go into the paddock and not the pits.  That's about it!

EXTRA: Typical car. These guys are here just because they love racing and for no other reason.
