Holywell Bay Beauty

Since being in Cornwall I have wanted to walk from Holywell Bay, past Polly Joke Beach and onto Crantock along the Coastal Path. So off we went once Mr W had done some work for the day and bidding farewell to a work colleague who's been a familiar voice in our house for many years.

We parked at the National Trust car park (love free parking!) and headed off to Holywell Bay. My - its beautiful. Just stunning. Bella managed the beach well with her new Kong ball we found on Fistral the other day. She seems much better with a distraction from the other dogs.

We then headed up over the sand dunes and along the coastal path to Polly Joke beach, passing a little cove of seals. Its hard to believe we have such majestic creatures in our seas so close to the beaches.

Polly Joke was a really small, tranquil beach with just a few people on it. Mr W's knees had decided they couldn't manage the walk as far as Crantock so we turned round and went back to Hollywell Bay. Just as well as the heavens opened and we got absolutely soaked in the final 10 minutes of our return walk!!!! Mr W didn't have his waterproof coat on and my zip was full of sand so couldn't do it up!! I didn't mind as I was warm but Mr W - being a retired Royal - didn't like getting wet!!!!

Once back home I facetimes the Babies. Jasper is looking much better and babbling away which is great to hear.

We had a chilled evening in after one of our best days so far.
