alt.Blue

Eventually got around to taking photos of the decorated 'Blue Room' for the website.  Like, it was decorated in 2020 - making use of lockdown 1.

Doing the 'alt' text /  audio description for this (something I'm more conscious of now we have bookings from blind guests coming up) it reads like it's blue, blue with extra blue and blue highlights.  The reality, especially viewed from the other direction, is that it's substantially pale yellow.

alt: A view of the Blue bedroom as seen from the corner diagonally opposite the entrance door. The room is roughly square, less the part that the en-suite takes up. In the centre of the picture is an antique-style black metal-framed double bed, with chrome finials. The wall behind it is papered in a modern light blue wallpaper in an abstract design. The carpet is mid-blue, the ceiling and frieze are painted a very light blue with white cornice and picture rail.  The remaining walls are a pale cream. The woodwork is all painted white. To the left of the door on this picture is a black-painted iron fireplace with marble surround, with an array of books on the mantlepiece and a picture above.  Also in the room is a wall mounted heated towel rail, and two small, ornate, blue-upholstered chairs with wooden arms, and plain white storage units with drawers either side of the bed, each with a wall light above.  Clicking here simply takes you to a larger version of the same image.
