The World Through My Eyes

@Alexander Monro Hospital in Bilthoven.…

I had my annual mammography today at the Alexander Monro Hospital in Bilthoven.
It’s every time a nerve wracking day... But the people who work in this hospital are so friendly and such a joy to be with, they do take such good care of you. That makes it all fairly bearable...
To be sort... everything was okay and if nothing changes they see me back next year... yeahhhh...

Mural in the treatment room. Each treatment room is named after a powerful and strong woman.

Mary
The Jamaican Mary Seacole has spent her whole life nursing sick and wounded soldiers and others. She also used African herbal medicine. At the age of 19 she already visited several Canary Islands, where she treated Cholera and Yellow Fever patients, among others. In 1854 she left for London and founded the British Hotel in Crimea where she treated soldiers of all nationalities.

Thanks for all the lovely stars for my yesterday’s blip! Xxx
