Condemned

So, the lens that fell out of specs on Monday and was firmly replaced, fell out again as I opened the case on Tuesday morning. As I was otherwise occupied that day we dragged ourselves back to the Gyle today.

The frames were examined closely, apparently both lenses fell out while the repair was underway. In conclusion, the frames were pretty well shot.

Unfortunately that design is now obsolete and can't put the new lenses into new frames so I have chosen a new style and Boots will cover the cost of the lenses cut to fit. I'll collect them in a few days' time.

 Meanwhile, the defective pair lies in their case, useless.
