Burnhope reservoir

I had a lovely circular walk along to the next village and then round passed the reservoir home. The route I take is about 4 miles and takes me about an hour and a quarter as it is by no means a flat walk! The views are splendid and very peaceful. I walk on the roads as I find the fields just too hard going but only met a couple of vehicles. It was a grey day but dry and pleasant walking. There is still a great deal of evidence of the winter storms and gale force winds, like this tree lying along side the reservoir. Usually you can walk a path all around the water but it is closed at the moment as there are so many trees down and obstacles blocking the route. Extra photo is one taken on a brighter day, but not by me.
