Pond dipping

They may be 19+ but Sam and his friends still like a bit of pond dipping.  Newts were the main focus today and they caught 9 which might explain why we have very little frog/toad spawn in the pond this year.

Once the children survived the toddler years the pond has been less of a worry and of endless interest, and I'm very pleased I didn't fill it in.   Jess loves it too, another in extras.

Roll on the Easter weekend.  James is home tomorrow and then more family on Sunday.  Really looking forward to it.
