If you can't beat them...

Miltonia

Well, that is what the label says it is.  Personally, I have a sneaking suspicion it will turn out to be a Miltoniopsis.  According to my reading, Miltonia has a single leaf coming out of the pseudobulb and Miltoniopsis has two.  This has one large strong leaf but appearing down at the bottom is a small leaf which by my arithmetic makes two leaves.

It is a fabulous plant whatever it finally turns out to be, each flower is 10 cm (4") by 9 cm (3 3/4" ).  It had to be today's blip as I am fairly sure the flowers will have "gone over" by the time we are back.
