Wound up in Wexford

Bunting

Z requested that I make bunting to bring to Sweden.  So ever willing - I did.  Quite tedious to cut out with pinking shears, but after swearing a little and sweating a lot, there is a good long length of mainly white, with a smattering of purple and yellow, bunting.

I advertised the wardrobes and a put-you-up bed on Facebook marketplace.  Several enquiries for the bed - though the person who was initially going to take it messaged this morning to say he didn't want it after all.  But all was retrieved, and it was passed on to someone else this afternoon.

Just the one enquiry about the wardrobes - fingers crossed that they will go - it only needs one person, they say - though it will need at least two to take them apart and shift them downstairs, and a large trailer or van to transport them.

My plans for an exercise bike session were disrupted by the messages regarding the bed this morning, so instead I did a couple of hours of weeding - the rampant weeds were getting me down.  If the weather stays fine, W will mow the grass tomorrow.

This evening's tipple from the "use up open bottles in the drinks cabinet" lottery is cognac with the lime and mint cordial and lots of ice - an interesting, but actually rather pleasant drink.  W meanwhile had a bottle of Z's home made beer - not sure how long that has been in our fridge, but he reckoned it was very enjoyable.

And dinner was an interesting but tasty concoction of Quorn mince, defrosted tomato sauce, other bits, all zinged up with Thai 7 spice, and served on a bed of tagliatelle.  Our chest freezer is now almost empty - which is good as it needs defrosting before transporting to Ireland.
